About

A small studio of quiet travellers, designing journeys that ask you to slow down.

Based between Buenos Aires and Patagonia. Working only by referral and reservation. Carrying with us a single, simple belief: that the best journeys are the ones nobody else is taking.

The Why

We started Still & Trail because we were tired of the way travel was being sold — fast, full, and forgettable.

The most important things we have learned on the road came in the slowest moments. Waiting for a glacier to crack. Following a guide who knew the wind better than the map. A long lunch that turned into an afternoon of stories.

We design journeys for people who want that — who measure a trip not by what they ticked off, but by what they noticed. Argentina is full of these places. We have spent years learning to listen to them.

Still & Trail is, in the end, two simple ideas: stillness, to notice; and the trail, to discover.

How we work

Three movements, one journey.

Step 01

Listen

Every journey starts with a long conversation. We want to know how you travel — your pace, your interests, the kind of silence you're after.

Step 02

Compose

We design a private itinerary that feels less like a schedule and more like a piece of music — with rests, slow passages, and unexpected accents.

Step 03

Accompany

From your first arrival to the last sunset, we are present without being visible. Quietly there, in case you need us.

Founders

Two travellers, one shared quiet obsession.

Catalina Petersen

Catalina Petersen

Born and raised in San Martín de los Andes, Catalina is a photographer and filmmaker with a deep eye for detail. When she's not capturing stories, she's out exploring the paths of Patagonia as a competitive trail runner, blending her passion for nature with her creative vision.

Marcos Fontana

Marcos Fontana

After years in the corporate world, Marcos followed his lifelong passion for Argentina's most untamed corners. An expert in the country's diverse landscapes, he uses his deep understanding of people to curate private journeys into pristine, lesser-known territories.

What we stand for

Four values, quietly held.

01

Slowness

We design for the rhythm of the place, not the calendar of the traveller. Some moments need to be waited for.

02

Privacy

Every journey is private. We don't run group tours. Your itinerary is yours alone — every detail, every choice.

03

Local roots

We work only with guides who live in the regions we visit. The South is read better from the inside.

04

Quiet luxury

Comfort that disappears into the experience. The right bed, the right meal, the right silence — never the showy kind.

We don't see things as they are; we see them as we are slow enough to notice.
